The continuous carbon fiber thermoplastic suspension method is quite different from the thermoplastic melting method. The ultrafine resin powder, solvent and additives are mixed into slurries of different concentrations, and with the continuous carbon fiber to be spread, impregnated and dried, pre-melting, shaping, trimming, rolling and other multi-step molding processes. Compared with thermosetting unidirectional tapes, slurry method thermoplastic unidirectional tapes have: higher strength and modulus; high molding efficiency; can be stored at room temperature; resistant to high temperatures and high humidity; recyclable; and excellent weldability.
